Emergency water removal
Standing water goes first. We run industrial water extractors over carpet, pad and hard floors, pull the pad if it is saturated, and open the bottom of the drywall where the moisture meter says the wall took water. Then commercial dehumidifiers and high-velocity air movers go in, sized to the room, and we log a reading for every wet surface so day two can be compared to day one. Full service detail on water damage restoration.
Sewage backup cleanup
A backed-up drain, a toilet overflow, or creek water that has crossed a street and a yard are all Category 3 water. Porous material it touched (carpet, pad, insulation, the lower drywall) comes out and gets bagged. Hard surfaces are cleaned and disinfected, and the work area runs under negative air containment with HEPA air scrubbers so nothing airborne travels through the house. See sewage backup cleanup.
Burst pipe water damage cleanup
Round Rock never issued a boil-water notice during Winter Storm Uri in February 2021. A backup generator bought in 2008 kept the Lake Georgetown intake pumps running, crews hauled diesel in 100-gallon totes for three to four days, and on February 16 the city told customers a dry tap most likely meant frozen pipes. Round Rock’s freeze damage was inside the houses. A split line in an attic or exterior wall runs until the main is off. Shut it off first, then call. Details on frozen and burst pipe cleanup.
Appliance leak restoration
Half of Round Rock’s housing was built between 1990 and 2009 by the Census Bureau’s 2024 survey, which puts those houses at 17 to 36 years old, the stretch when a water heater, a dishwasher supply line or a washing machine hose reaches the end of its run. A slow leak under a kitchen sink or behind a fridge usually shows up as cupped flooring or a soft baseboard before anyone sees water. We trace the source, extract, and dry the cabinet base and subfloor, not just the surface.
Flood and storm water restoration
Spring severe weather is Round Rock’s other water source. On April 22 2025 the National Weather Service logged tennis-ball hail in Teravista and 1-inch hail at Paloma Lake Boulevard and Diego Drive, and a hail-opened roof lets the next rain straight into the attic insulation and ceiling drywall. Creek flooding, from Brushy Creek and from Lake Creek on the west side, is the other case, and that water is handled as Category 3. We tarp, extract, remove what cannot be dried, and dry the rest.
Brushy Creek’s record at the Kenney Fort Boulevard gauge is 23.76 feet and 31,400 cubic feet per second, set on May 25 2015. On July 4 and 5 2025 high water closed the North Lee Street and Summit Street low-water crossing in central Round Rock, and Williamson County declared a local disaster.
